This restaurant is located a few blocks from the waterfront at Calle 8 between 10th and 15th Avenida. It’s a classic wooden house of typical Caribbean style.
La Cocay is a favorite with locals, where they gather for celebrations, birthdays or just to enjoy a nice dinner. On the menu you can find tasty seafood tapas or goat cheese empanadas and salads such as their famous Napa – mixed lettuce, apple, walnut and blue cheese in a honey Dijon dressing. Appetizers such as duck firecrackers and phyllo rolls are ideal for sharing. For a main course you can always enjoy the catch of the day in various forms like Parmesan crusted, niçoise or blackened or tuna sashimi. A variety of pastas are available: tortellini, spaghetti with shrimp, penne with vegetables and basil pesto among others. You can also enjoy their excellent steaks, duck, chicken breast, Angus burgers and recently added wood fired NY style pizzas. They have traditional pizzas but also prepare specialty pizzas like prosciutto with arugula, duck with black cherries, lobster, three cheeses and more. The chocolate torte with vanilla ice cream is a highly recommended dessert to finish dinner with a special touch.
